Happy Friday, friends! Here are several fun things I’ve been into lately including a magnesium supplement, rose petal witch hazel and lavender kombucha.
Natural Vitality Calm – Magnesium + Calcium
I’ve been experimenting lately with using magnesium to manage anxiety symptoms. There’s some evidence showing that a magnesium deficiency can lead to anxiety symptoms.
I recently did a 3-day nutrient analysis to see what my magnesium intake is with my current diet and if I really need a supplement (blog post in the works). There’s also some new evidence showing that too much magnesium in the diet can have an adverse cardiovascular impact as well, so I wanted to make sure I wasn’t overdoing it.
Long story short: I usually get enough magnesium in my daily diet, but not all the time. For those days, I use a magnesium supplement. When I looked into magnesium supplements, I found that people rave about Natural Vitality Calm. I use the Calm magnesium with calcium, as calcium is something I’ve been meaning to add to my routine anyway. They also have other options from just magnesium to magnesium + melatonin for sleep!
Thayer’s Natural Rose Petal Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera
Lately, I’ve been trying to use more natural beauty products. Specifically, I’ve been making an effort to utilize staple household products, like coconut oil or aloe, for all their worth.
I’ve been using Murad Clarifying Toner for the past few months and absolutely love it. Recently, I noticed the main ingredient is witch hazel which it says “controls and tightens pores.” So, I figured why not give that a try on its own? And so far I’m loving it! The scent is an added bonus as it leaves your face smelling like roses.
I’ve been loving lavender lately for its calming scent. I also love anything floral flavored… which sounds weird but my friend let me try her rose and lavender ice cream recently and I was in heaven. So, I had to try this GTS kombucha and I absolutely love it!
