Happy Friday, friends!
This week I’m sharing some of my favorite gifts that I gave this year.
It dawned on me while holiday shopping and exiting a DC gift shop with socks that say “Less BS, more feminism” and a pink pussyhat-shaped journal, I had a clear theme in my 2017 holiday gifting…
Can we all agree that despite all the political turmoil, 2017 has been quite the year for feminism?
From the women’s march, to finally reconciling with sexual assault through the #metoo movement, to most recently being wildly inspired by Oprah’s speech at the Golden Globes earlier this week…(#timeisup #Oprah2020), it’s been quite the year. Merriam-Webster even made feminism its word of the year!
So, below are my favorite feminist holiday gift finds. Enjoy!
- Mews Your Voice Journal – YES, it’s a Women’s March journal! First of all, this journal is SO cute. Second, a portion of the proceeds goes toward the National Organization for Women Foundation. It’s also filled with quotes inspired by all of the posters made for the Women’s March of 2017.
- Tiny Feminist Gear – Do you know any tiny feminists you want to make an early influence on? Have any of your family members or friends recently had a baby? Do you want to be the cool aunt? Well, I do. Aunt Alex already RULES. I gave my cousin’s one-year-old daughter these two adorable feminist onesies!
