2018 New Year’s Resolutions + Intentions

Hi guys… I cannot believe it’s almost 2018!

I can’t lie, I’m REALLY excited about the new year and really looking forward to what’s to come in 2018.

Let’s be real… 2017 was a crazy year for all of us.

Trump was elected, but I GOT MARRIED! So, highs and lows, ya know?

With my wedding last year, my whole year basically revolved around wedding planning and allllll of the work that goes into that. While it was totally worth every second of planning, I didn’t have much time to focus on other aspects of my life aside from work and the wedding.

So, for 2018, I’m really excited to set some goals and work on other areas of my life!

That said, my 2018 New Year’s resolutions are… (drumroll please)…

1. Blog! 

(Duh, how obvious was this one?)

But really, I’ve vowed to myself that I will try this out for a full year. I have realized in the few weeks that I’ve started blogging and learning ALL that there is to know about creating a website, social media, photography, etc., that I’m a complete novice.

But, that’s okay. It’s something I’ve wanted to try for a while, and while there’s a long way to go, I think it’s something I’m going to enjoy.

My goal is to post twice a week at minimum, on Friday’s and Monday’s and possibly more. So, #leggo.

2. Do Yoga.

Every. Damn. Day.

Everything about yoga – the meditation aspect, the workout, the community, and the way it’s brought me closer to friends – has been one of the best things thats ever happened to me. I’ve been doing it since college, but have gotten more serious about it in the past year. Which brings me to my next resolution…

Yoga Teacher Training. 

I honestly never thought I’d be someone to consider teacher training. But, as my yoga practice has grown more than ever over the past year, I’ve recently thought more about it. Recently, one of my best friend’s and fellow yogi’s moved to DC. She’s also been wanting to do teacher training, so it seems like the perfect time to bite the bullet and just do it!

3. Work on Monthly Goals.

I love trying new things. And I love setting goals. One thing I’m hoping this blog will help me do is to step out of my comfort zone and try new things, and then share my experiences.

I’m going to kick this off by attempting to have a DRY JANUARY.
